Mason ended up in the OR for about 13 hours yesterday, a far cry from the scheduled 4. Then he spent another 3-4 in recovery. Little guy didn't want to wake up, stay awake, or settle his heart rate down. It was a rough night, but he seems to making a turn for the better tonight. He's squeezed out a few smiles and is starting to take some bites of food & drink a little. He wants everything he can't have....to sit up, get in his walker, down on the floor, back to the "hotel", and all the cords OUT! I think tomorrow will be a much better day for him.
Haley is a rock star! Plain and simple. She starting eating & drinking last night and has moved to oral pain meds today. She spent most the day in her wheelchair eating ice cream....happy as could be. They even rectified the cast situation today and wrapped them in pink. That brought a big smile to her face!
