The power of presents
Collin was up at 5 am on Christmas morning this year. He was absolutely amazed that "Santa" left him a present in his bed, on his pillow pet, just like he had hoped for. The boy came into our room talking 90 to nothing. I got him calmed down and talked back into bed........he gently laid his present beside our bed and proceeded talking about how he could see the stockings were full, but he didn't look, he could just tell. He obviously didn't lay down for very long though. At 7 am I awoke to him & Mason having a discussion about he presents, however, Mason's voice seemed to be much closer to me than his bedroom.......that's impossible though, mason is in a brace that weighs as much as he does. He can't move in it. Collin would have had to get him. Never doubt the power of gifts! Apparently it can give 6 year olds super powers to lift things such as his little brother, brace & all, and carry him to the living room with ease. Carrying him ever so gently as to not even make little brother cry or wine (I can't even do that!). He even got his pillow and tucked it nicely under his legs to make him comfortable. And there they lay in the middle of the living room, looking at their presents & stockings. Such a sweet, sweet boy!
